You are right, it’s something you don’t want to do, but I can understand what your saying. I guess for me I would exercise forgiveness with empathy, not sympathy or care, then quickly move from empathy to indifference. I guess I would be willing forgive, so I could move from anger to indifference because anger does consume you and start to be who you are, an angry person. I think indifference is a more neutral emotion, which doesn’t command my attention and doesn’t consume me like anger. Thanks for helping me think this through. 👏
