Que buena historia a muy pocas personas le a pasado cosas como esa en estos dias ley sobre el poderoso ROQUE FELLER una sus formas de multiplicar su dinero era ver posibilidades en todas partes y confiar en su intuicion

"technology has allowed for far more opportunity than our parents and grandparents could have ever dreamt possible."

I think you are wrong here. Technology has imposed roadblocks and distractions, preventing the younger generation from being independent and happy.

Ronald's values were derived from a time before the internet. Things have changed a lot since then. Wealth and status are king today.
Try convincing a young man in his 20s, that he can be successful being a janitor while his peers are spending money and having fun.

I think you're misunderstanding the context of 'opportunity.' Whether or not someone makes the choice to take advantage of an opportunity or not doesn't change the fact that it's still an opportunity, you've just chosen to ignore it.

The internet has made access to almost all information free and convenient, as well as the ability to pursue careers based online without the need for location dependence.

Just because most people choose to spend most of their time on Facebook doesn't change the fact that the opportunities are still there.

That is where I am getting at. When you are raised with certain values for your entire life, you do not have much of a choice because we will end up seeing things differently. Our vision isn't equal. We are born into different environments, raised with different values so we see different things. Where you see "opportunity", others see a waste of time. Where you see a waste of time, others see "opportunity". Who is right?

As far as the internet is concerned, it has destroyed more lives than it has saved because it has a large influence on what we believe in.

Where you see "opportunity", others see a waste of time

That's no different to any other point in history. But if you really think that the internet has destroyed more lives than saved then you're going to have to define what you mean by 'destroyed' because by virtually every metric people are doing better than at any other point in history.
