If You Want to Bring Order to the World, First Do it For Your Own Life!
Hello, dear Steemians!
Every man experiences a moment of reckoning at some point in their lives.
The moment where everything you are and everything you have been becomes clear and you instantly realize what you should do from then on.
From that moment, everything becomes much more serious to your eyes.
You will hold onto your responsibilities and take care of them to the best of your capabilities. You will know your purpose and do everything you can to realize your vision of the world.
But what happens before that moment?
I once learned an important lesson that essentially turned me into the man I am now. In this blog post, I want to share that lesson with you.
In the words of the great Jordan Peterson, “You should be humble enough to understand that if you can’t order your own life, you shouldn’t be trying to order anything more complicated than that.”
What those words mean, essentially, is that you cannot expect to change anything in the world when you don’t even have control over your own life.
If you can’t even reach your ideal self and fulfill your values on a daily basis, how do you expect to influence anything else in this world?
What’s more is that even if you try, you are only going to end up making everything worse.
You cannot change anything in this world, or let’s say change anything properly, when you haven’t even figured out your own life.
So, the first step towards achieving anything of value in this world and in the life that is given to you is to figure out yourself. Who are you? What is your purpose?
Are you willing to put everything on the line to achieve that purpose? Can you gather your will and resolve to finally do yourself justice and order everything in your life?
Because if you fail at doing that, you cannot achieve anything greater than yourself.
Coming to terms with yourself and undergoing a journey of self-discovery is absolutely essential before attempting to do anything of importance and value in this world.
Without that sense of keen judgment for the world and yourself, you cannot really deal with anything that goes beyond the threshold of what you can handle.
Without that sense of understanding and wisdom, you cannot have empathy for the things that require your attention.
Having control over your own thoughts and feeling is the most important endeavor that you could undertake in your whole life.
If you don’t, you will always remain a shadow of what you could have been. Your full potential is unlocked only when you decide to deal with matters that are most important… the matters of your personal life.
Get your own life in order and the rest of the world will soon follow!

It is ironic to try to change the lives of others if, one's life is anarchic. It is advisable to change the stereotypes, which may be giving a bad influence, which does not allow our improvement as an individual.I learned this the hard way as I would try to help others (family) with their hardships without taking care of my own and ultimately resulted in both having severe challenges in achieving goals. I then learned to focus on improving myself which allowed me the ability to help others bot only with the resources but the knowledge to do so!

At times I have come across some people who seek to control the lives of others, judge, criticize, think, without realizing that their lives are turned a chaos. It is easier to see the defects of others than one's own. I think that this type of person should see himself in the mirror, find himself, recognize himself, accept himself and be better; then, for sure, he will no longer have so much desire to criticize what surrounds him, because a person who is internally balanced gets the external balance. Ya ofcourse if you want to set example of your to world then you have to initiate that work or you have to make changes in your self . It is not easy to order someone without making change in yourselves @chbartist

For me, meditation has been a great tool to bring order to my mind. Being present to the moment is not an easy thing to do, all the time, but meditation can help bring a little bit more order to your life as a whole.
It's difficult to stop your thoughts which lead to disorder in your life, but you can certainly try, especially with meditation. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely accurate. Think of it this way: over whom or what in this world do you have the most complete control. No matter how much power one accumulates, the answer to that question will always be the same: yourself. And once you make self-management a habit, it becomes easier to influence the world around you.
