A Thought to Consider: Patience is Not Just About Waiting…!
Hi, Steemians!
If there is one thing every wise and old soul would admit to be the greatest qualification that you could secure for yourself in life, it would be patience.
There is no merit that deserves veneration more than patience. Without patience, we could never be a reliable or mature person.
Without patience, we could never tolerate the harsh circumstances of our life and that of the impending events that require our attention and will.
But patience is not just about waiting… and there is more power to this characteristic than meets the eye.
Merely waiting for an opportunity or on someone is not enough, because there is a big difference between a person who can wait and a person who has patience.
Patience is not just an act that merely translates to waiting. Patience is an attitude towards life.
Patience can grow your confidence and make you more prepared against the coming storms that would engulf your life.
Patience shakes the boundaries of our comfort zone and gives us hope in our darkest hours; through which we could once again dream of seeing the light.
So, waiting in itself is not patience.
A person who has patience is one who understands the importance of being positive and helpful while waiting for the right opportunities.
Imagine that you are facing a problem. There are four people, but only two chairs to sit on.
You either bring two chairs, remove two people, or take out the chairs altogether, eliminating the possibility for anyone to sit down.
Having the capacity to wait but not being hopeful or positive about it is basically like removing the two chairs and compelling everyone to remain standing.
In this scenario, you have not solved the problem. You have merely removed the problem from the equation.
A person who understands the importance of patience knows that while one is waiting, they need to remain hopeful and wary and seize any opportunity that presents itself.
Simply waiting is not patience. Patience is an attitude that can get you through even the deepest path on the darkest night.
If you want to increase the amount of patience that you employ on a daily basis, realize that waiting is not an act, but an art that needs to be mastered.
Those who master the art of patience can undoubtedly achieve success even against the worst odds!

Your right. Patience involves making yourself ready to act when the moment is going. Without that readiness, one is just doing nothing.

100 percent correct, patience is not all about waiting, but adding something positive to the course of expectation.
Patience is a necessity to persist in the way of success or even after achieving success. it's an art to be mastered , not an act to be performed.

Waiting for a situation to unfold in the manner planned is not an appropriate plan. Unforeseen situations may occur, which can generate stress and a more complex problem.
On the other hand, it is said that patience is about "courageous perseverance, that opposes evil, and that despite what the human being suffers, he does not let himself be dominated by it"
Patience, as you put it, should not be treated in the fact of sitting and waiting for what is expected, but rather in developing our skills while we wait, being able to practice other skills; like resilience.
