RE: Falling Behind Schedule and Deadline Can Adversely Affect Your Mental Health
I can relate this post to my professional side. I work for different client's for different projects and all the projects are handed over for delivery to me with certain deadlines. It's my responsibility to deliver the services as per planned manner and I am expected to finish all tasks within deadline. But sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances or even sometimes by lack of co-operaption by clients, I need to ask for time line extension which makes me feel very bad. I personally tell you that I hate such situations and don't want to face it. If in case I have to which rarest rare like 1 out of 20 projects but still I feel disturbed. Whatever is the reason behind for that but ultimately something wrong happened which caused delay. Being a lead I take the ownership and report it to my manager with full details. Thanks for writing such a nice post @chbartist

Hi @alokkumar121
Perhaps it's best to be able to disconnect ourselfs emotionally at that particular moment? To separate ourselfs from all emotions that follows, whenever we fail meeting deadlines.
What do you think buddy?
Piotr
Hi @crypto.piotr your opinion is also good but being a project lead I don't disconnect myself as someone need to be available for any approach by clients and I don't want client to struggle to find a point of contact for their project related needs. I prefer to bring things to closure even if it's delayed. You may not agree with my way of working dear @crypto.piotr but that's ok because your view is also correct. What you say?

Dear @alokkumar121
Thank you for your mature and wise comment.
Would you mind telling me more about it? I remember that you're from IT sector. Are you working as a project leader? Something perhaps related to blockchain and crypto?
Just curious :)
I honestly think that your view is as good as mine. Why? Because out approaches are very well thought and we're aware of our chocies, our emotions and goal.
Plus to tell you the truth, I'm very open and constantly learning. There is still plenty of room for improvement so reading your feedback has a great value for me.
Yours
Piotr
Hi @crypto.piotr yes you're right that i am in IT sector but it's not related to blockchain or Crypto. I handle the IT projects for banking and healthcare sectors and each projects handed over to me for delivery with a deadline. My job is to get it done through my team but sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances things doesn't go as planned. Though its rarest rare but still I don't like that rare too.Talking about your view about It, I appreciate your view and accept that your opinion is truly correct. Though my view is bit different than yours . We both are right and this difference could be because of our ways working. Looking forward to learn a lot from you brother @crypto.piotr Have a great time.
