Explanation: I've created this series as a small daily piece of content you can consume in less than 60 seconds. It's purpose it's to give you a daily boost of energy and motivation.
Are You Trying to Change? Your Friends Are Probably Trying to Drag You Down!
People around don't want you to change. They are too comfortable and too used to the current state of things. By you changing you show them that through hard work and discipline they can change as well, but they don't want to leave their reality and their excuses.
The classic example - 4 fat friends. One of them starts getting his nutrition in check and working out regularly, and starts dropping weight. Subconsciously he shows his friends that's possible and they start to bitch about, find reasons why they can't do it, and eventually separate themselves from the 4th guy because he has change. He is not cool anymore, he is not worth their time anymore.
So, you changing and developing will probably upset people around you and they will consciously or unconsciously try to keep you at the same level. Understand that this happens 99% of the time when someone goes through a huge transformation and also that this is one of the reasons change is so damn hard. Understand it and be prepared to let go to anyone that does not have your best interest in mind, no matter who they are to you!
