The discovery of a huge Pharaonic tomb with 1,050 statues in Luxor
![2017_4_18_12_12_49_430.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/On Tuesday, Dr. Khaled Al Anani, the Minister of Antiquities, announced the discovery of the tomb of Osir, the city's advisor, dating back to the 18th Dynasty in the Nabala cemetery in the area of Abu Naga, west of Luxor. Dr. Mustapha Waziri, Director General of Luxor Antiquities and head of the Egyptian expedition, said: "This cemetery, despite its small size, contains mummies, coffins and handkerchiefs in bright colors and in very good condition." Waziri added that the cemetery includes two rooms and a 7-meter-deep well, in which 1050 statues were found. The discovery also led to two other graves, the details of which will be announced soon. The cemetery was the first product of the Egyptian mission after a six-year hiatus.
