The other day, a group of people asked if I wanted some milk. They were polite and well-meaning but I told them no:
I don’t drink milk anymore
They asked why? Instead of the usual answer, I put it another way:
First I got them to agree to Listen and said:
My answer will take about 3 minutes to explain. Can I have your attention for that time?
When they agreed (and put themselves in a better listening state), I proceeded:
Compared to cows, our human intelligence is at another order of magnitude, right? We're much much smarter than them. It’s no comparison. They agreed.
Now imagine this. A race of aliens comes down to earth. Compared to us, their intelligence and technology is at a higher order of magnitude.
Now let’s say these aliens really like to drink human milk. So they come down, use their advanced technology and lock you in a small room. This room has just enough space for you to lie down. There are no windows and no bathroom.
These beings artificially inseminate you to make your breasts lactate.
They affix a machine to your breasts which pumps out as much milk as possible. Sometimes it takes out 5 times the normal amount.
If your breasts begin to chafe and bleed - and become infected - they don’t let you rest. Instead they give you as much antibiotics as possible and continue to milk you.
Your baby is born. If it is a boy, they take it away from you. Your baby boy is killed and eaten by the beings; baby meat is considered a delicacy by them.
If your child is a girl, she will experience the same nightmare as you. (Credit @moojiji)
You cry for your loss but the milking continues and you are artificially inseminated again.
This process repeats again and again for 15-20 years, or as long as you can continue to produce milk.
When you become too old to produce milk, you are killed and then possibly eaten, your flesh sold in the "Bargain!!!" section of their supermarkets.
However, a growing minority of these beings don’t drink human milk, believing it to be immoral and wrong to treat other sentient beings in such abominable conditions. The majority of these aliens dismiss that thought because “Milk tastes good."

And you could also add that your daughters, starting around the age of 12 or 13 years old, will 'live' the same nightmare... if you can call that 'living'...
But, because their intelligence is so superior to ours they put us in a room with something that entertains our small minds(no big deal to them, but a big deal for us), they want us to be somewhat happy. They protect you from all the outside world, they let you graze on a field of your favourite food.
I'm just playing devil's advocate here, I do support your decision to not drink cow's milk and think it's a good idea.
You know we should actually be drinking bear milk instead of cow milk as it is much lower in lactose. something to think about.

Appreciate the devil's advocate position, but the devil is again confused. Giving slaves entertainment, healthcare, protection does not make slavery any less immoral, or wrong.
If in the 1840s the Southern slaveowners protected their slaves, gave them recreation, and provided them with their favorite food, they'd still be horrible for OWNING SLAVES
And hey, if you can convince a mama bear to VOLUNTARILY give up her milk and let you drink it, more power to you...Good luck!

Thank you thank you. Yes it does. Most people are currently in the consciousness level of: If it doesn't affect me, who cares? and lack the ability to conceptualize abstract principles. Hitting them in the gut/heart and viscerally bringing it home is quite effective I've found.
