My story

I joined steemit loosely 3 weeks ago. From a rough and discouraging start, I slowly picked up; thanks to the support of some awesome steemians I met.

For the first 7 days of my steemit life, I channeled 90% of my time to visiting other people’s blogs, reading their works, and leaving my sincere comments.

Suffice to say, that is how I first stumbled on @ainie.kashif

In only a number of days, my Reputation shot from 25 to 48. This was owed, if you ask me, 75% to the comments I made being upvoted, and 25% to the posts I published, one of which was voted by the @curie trail.

And so it is, that I have since not looked back. But instead remained faithful to my sincere desire to share in other people’s works, namely to engage through making value adding comments.

This is why I have been in the top ten of @abh12345’s curation and engagement league for the last two weeks.

In the same vein, I also aim to publish at least one post a day, in the niche that I have found, and which I plan to master.

I have only just joined #HHG, upon @ainie.kashif‘s invitation – Another benefit of commenting! Now I look forward to more engagement, more friends, more rewards, a higher reputation….

Now i have so many check-in's by HHG members. I am very impressed with the much love i have been accorded. Several of friends here have already visited my blog to say hi, and offer some encouragement. I am much obliged.

@mirrors - Wow! You have some meteoric rise despite, having those initial setbacks (if one even call them that - lol!). You have have gotten involved with writing contest from the word go and commented on post actively too. A lesson I wish had learned earlier.

I think you are the ideal person to share your many experience with the HHG - concerning writing and curation. Perhaps a collaboration between yourself and @ainie.kashif, could be wonderful!

Steem upward and onward - and be blessed!

Thanks big, @rlt47. I have certainly made some really quick strides. Posting consistency and active commenting, it is true, have done me wonders.

Admittedly, posting daily is not an easy goal to meet, else one comes to compromise the standards of their work, for the sake of 'posting' daily.

Commenting though, is different, and in my opinion, should be a daily practice. In large part becasue you really don't have to start from scratch as is the case with posting. You only have to read someone's work to have an opinion.

And there are several genres out there which should cover everyone's passions, meaning you always have some wonderfull posts coming through. These you only have to read, and add value to, through your comment.

I did this, and in two of my comments, i was upvoted by well around $4SBD. That pushed my Reputation by about 8 places! This was before the curie vote came and pushed me to 48 where i am now.

My experience, is not very long, and i certainly still haven't made the final cut, but yes, I agree my story is something many can learn from.

Its an honor to work @ainie.kashif. Do you know she basically just bundled me in here!!!! Keping on me fromthe day go untill i had to come! I am much obliged to her, and to you all.

Day's here should certainly get more interesting. And with us all watching each other's back, the climb shouldn't be difficult anway.

Thanks, btw for coming over to my blog! You @shanu and @angelro, and i am sure several others have already been there.

@mirrors - thanks for your valuable perspective. I will be looking into commenting, as a more sustainable way going forward.

It's great that you have taken to the group like a duck to water. :)

ON THE TOPIC

Hhahaahah...@rlt47. The group is sweet. I mean, there is a lot to learn and to share with you'all wonderful friends. I see us only growing bigger, as more and more get to know of the fun we have here!

Yep. Comment and Comment and Comment...just make sure the comments add value to the discussion.

Lol @rlt47, I like that one, new idiom for me..."like a duck to water" and yes she is... another great addition to #HHG. Awesome @mirrors!

And a lesson you can just as yet, still learn! lol @rlt47. Glad to meet you, and the whole group. We have much to learn from each other. The following days should be interesting.

Hi @mirrors.

ON THE TOPIC

You are a new participant. Despite this, you are move very right. You are keep move like this. Also you are very lucky. Your Rep points have risen so fast. But I want to ask a question. Your account is very strong. Your Steem Power is too high. How did you do it ? Did you deposit money on your account ?

On the Topic

Haahahaahh @@@atakan57. My Reputation has certainly grown a little fast if you consider that I have only been around for a short while. I had a fairly good welcome. Some wonderful members welcomed me and supported me hugely.

Also, i started off by posting quality work. It won me a curie vote (Curie is some group that supports and rewards quality content. When they vote you, you get quite a big reward and your reputation rises).

And then i also did and still do, a lot of comments. Several of my comments were upvoted, and that contributed to a rise in my reputation, plus of course some SBD!

And, before I forget, the issue of the steem power!

NO. I didn't put any money on my account. That steempower is delegated. Some wonderful members are impressed by my activities and have decided to 'lend' me some of their steem power.

It is such a boost for me.

Thanks @atakan57. I am new around here, but I hope this will only be for today! Starting tomorrow and days forward, I should be pretty well conversant and running around. lol.

Glad to meet you.

ON THE TOPIC

Thank you for clarifying. What do I have to do to get the support of the Curie group? Can you tell me exactly? I following curie account.

Nice to meet you too.

ON THE TOPIC

@curie upvotes quality content. It has a number of curators who scout for quality content. When they find it, they recommend and if accepted, the recommended post is upvoted.

Basically, the first, and i think most important criteria, is to post quality work.

ON THE TOPIC

Thank you for informed. Do we have to register anywhere ?

No really. The curators are tasked to look 'throughout' the tags and recommend on the quality works they find.

I have to say, there is no shortcut or way of influencing whether or not they pick your post.

But the most important thing, to increase your chances of being picked and curied, is to write quality work.

But don't worry too much about them. They are just one group, there are also other groups and several individuals who support quality work.

Just post quality, and you could be voted by someone/group ssomeday.

ON THE TOPIC
I have studied some of your writings, there are original contents In a very short time cause of progress It depends on this. you are very lucky a few people have discovered you they helped you. share more popular posts take care of youself, good bye

ON THE TOPIC

It is true, @oguz57. I was blessed to stumble on some really wonderful people who quickly tooK uONp themselves the responsibility to support and promote me.

That was a good start, despite a difficult first and second day. It gave me the momentum that has since pushed me on.

My works are original, it is true, I try to make sure i keep to those standards. Thanks.

Glad to meet and know you, and every one else. I am looking forward to many better days ahed with you all.

ON THE TOPIC
yes i saw it, you have successfully passed the difficult part, what can you do now focus on them. try to identify the system, when you do this you can earn money :)

ON THE TOPIC

The beginning,i agree is always the most difficult part, or at least, it has always been so. However, i think this was more some time earlier.

These days, a lot many wonderful individuals and groups have been formed, and are dedicated to helping out newbies.

Look around, and there are very many. Obviously, everyone lately appears to recognize the need to support newbies, if the platform is to continue growing.

It comes on the backdrop of increased exodus from the platform, where several newbies join and just about immediately quit, leaving their accounts dormant.

Thus to reduce these such cases, incentive, in terms of supporting newbies have been undertaken.

Effectively, one can in deed suggest that it is now much easier for newbies who join today, than those who joined some time earlier.

I do a lot reading, hopping from blog to blog, and making as much valuable commentary as i can. And i can, with a measure of some confidence, now say that at least, i have a clue of how the system works.

And that understanding, is yes, translating to some earnings. My posts still don't earn much, but at least they don't earn nothing as well.

There is, when all is said and done, a lot much more i, in deed, we newbies need to do.

And i believe with the whole of my heart, that groups such as HHG, which bring us together and allows us share our unique experiences, are very important.

Out of these, we should be able to build supportive networks that are key to making the next step around here.

Thanks for your thoughts, @oguz57

ON THE TOPIC
Definitely I agree with you newcomers to the system should be supported, because many people do not see support and is taking a decision to leave
such things It can happen to all individuals A situation, we have reached many articles but sometimes it is not enough
they must be a bit lucky without hesitation they should continue

ON THE TOPIC

True. And groups, such as this HHG are useful to that end. You can see, if it wasn't for this group, i wouldn't probably have met you, and many other wonderful friends here with whom we can now support each other.

Thanks for your thoughts, @oguz57
