I think its a leap of faith! You are taking a whole and big risk in moving out of your own country and found settlement elsewhere. People and cultures always differ from places.

But in Venezuela as well as other communist countries, migration is the norm. Even Africa. Look at what is happening in Central America.
My main point is that people migrating needs to plan and adjust to new environments, laws, culture and regulations
I do agree that one should do the due diligence to make sure that migration leaves no bad test
