SUPERFICIALLY ANALYZING STEEMIT

SUPERFICIALLY ANALYZING STEEMIT

Best Regards Dear Friends on Steemit.

On this occasion, two months after having initiated my activities in Steemit, I will try to superficially analyze this Beautiful Community, to which I proudly belong, from the perspective of User, Writer and Reader.

What is Steemit?

Steemit and its Web site Steemit.com, is a new Community BlockChain, quite ambitious, idealistic, big and nourished, that began its operations in 2016, and currently has approximately 500 thousand users; constituted primarily by Writers or "Bloggers" and Analysts, by the essential Readers and many Investors and Altruists, who communicate with publishers through the comments and the "upvote" that configure the processes of "healing".

That is, it is a very particular social network, which uses the potential of Blockchain technology to link people and communities, store information and reward decentralized, balanced and sustainable users through their cryptocurrencies: Steem and SBD$.

Steemit is apparently still in "beta", but it works very well and its recognition scheme for the "ranking" of users is based on the "Steem Power" (SP or "points" relationship, based on the amount of Steem that has been produced, invested or has the user) and the "Reputation" (ratio of "points", based on the amount of SBD$ obtained based on the upvotes obtained by the publications made by the user).

With respect to the "reward" that a user can obtain in their publications, it is based on the "upvote" that other users can give to them when they read and recognize the quality of the written and/or photos captured; vote that will depend on the "Steem Power" that the voter has and their criteria for the percentage of SP to be granted (for example: a "reader user", with 10,000 SP has a voting power of 1SBD $, and if they decide to vote a 50% publication, then you will be giving a upvote of 0.5 SBD$ to the publication of the "writer user"); also, the "reading user" receives rewards, because it will be returned up to a maximum "cure" of 25% of the value of the vote that was granted to the writer, added to the votes that in turn received by the comment made in that publication.

Quality and Quantity of Publications and "Reesteem"

Sadly, I should point out that there are many "writer users" who publish too many articles, some even exaggerate at the rate of an article every half hour, almost without content or with little depth and quality; also, there are those who, with similar frequency, make too many "reesteem" (promote and republish the writing of another user on the "wall" of their own), even with more than 50 per day; the criticizable thing is that in both cases our favorite section (feed) is filled with an excess of publications that prevent us from discerning the writings we really want to read.

I clarify that I do not criticize, nor do I find it in bad taste to make several publications or "reesteem" a day; because, each one is free to do how much and how they wishes with their life and with the investment of their time and effort, according to their maturity and intellect; but, there must be a minimum code of ethics and self-respect, to understand that it is very rude to "fill the wall" of our profile and the favorites section of our followers with more than 100 of their publications or "resteemed" every day, being absurd actions that bother other users and affect the "prestige and good name" of the person who performs it.

Appropriately and ideally, I consider that the "reesteem" is a good advertising tool to make the avid Steem users easily find quality content, by allowing more people to see the publication that was given "reesteem".

Comments "SPAM" of "Follow Me, I Follow You", "I gave you my Upvote, Give Me Your Upvote" or Copy and Paste "Banal Praises" or "Garbage"

Steemit is very useful for any content creator (writers, analysts, journalists, poets, photographers, musicians, politicians, painters, professionals, artists and the general public). However, there are many users who apparently have little to contribute with their publications, but want to receive much "rewards" in return from Steemit, and apply the "nothing wonderful" strategy to comment on many publications with the phrase: "Follow me and I follow you", "I already voted for you, now upvote for me", which is considered negative messages "SPAM" and punished in various ways (with shame I confess that at the beginning I applied that same odious and criticizable strategy, based on my experience on Twitter and I did not Nothing good. I ask for millions of apologies for I having acted like this).

Similarly, there are users who comment with many "banal praises" to obtain votes to their comments and for that they use messages cloned, copied and pasted; a practice that has been declared abhorrent by most members of the Steemit community because it is unethical "SPAM" and is against Steemit's quality principles.

The Good and the Bad of Steemit

Almost everything about Steemit is good or better to say, excellent and positive; as a new community system, decentralized, idealized, altruistic base and with "rewards" for the publications that are made.

The negative part includes the non-existence of order by academic discipline, or of the sciences, humanities and arts; there is only a rudimentary scheme of labels that tries to put order in the created mess. In the same way, the tools and resources to publicize the publications are simple and ineffective.

Mention aside, it deserves the negative fact that the philosophical scheme of Steemit is structured in that "so much you have, so much you are worth, nothing you have nothing worth"; then if you are new or if you are not supported by the great groups or associations of great "curators", there are sad cases that we make high quality publications with excellent formats, but they will be doomed to failure and without support, with some how many cents of SBD$ in votes; however, many publications of poor quality are supported by the large group of "curators" and easily obtain hundreds of SBD$.

Idealized Final Recommendations as Keys to Success in Steemit

.- Have at least six months of experience in Steemit, investigating to improve daily, with high "Reputation" (over 60) and if possible investing own to have high Steem Power (greater than 10,000).

.- Locate, win and strengthen friendly relations in Steemit with like-minded people that you like and with topics compatible with you.

.- Partner with large groups of "curators" and obtain the approval of "whales" to achieve their votes with high SBD$.

.- Read daily from 10 to 20 good quality publications, vote from 5 to 10 of those that seem most interesting and leave comments of high quality and in good format.

.- To Write 1 to 3 publications per day, with good content, novel, impactful, well written, without spelling errors and if possible current innovators.

.- Give publicity to your posts you make, paying "whales" prepaid for their upvotes, to try to locate your writings in "Trending" which gives more visibility and you get more upvotes.

.- Order the publication, with a prominent title and content, and adding good images according to the published content.

.- Although here it does not matter much to be "star" for having a million followers/fans but not following anyone, the numbers of high followers are necessary because they cause psychological impact on others as "important writer".

.- Be consistent, truthful, transparent, honest, responsible, committed, orderly, studious, researcher and respectful.
