wow one of the more impressive microfictions I have read! Instantly sucked me in but I totally didn't see where it was going, I was thinking some kind of government/military secret weapon project or something, the family protector angle/angel and saving grandkid's life was a great ending. Crazy how much ground you covered in so few words :) Also, really beautiful poetic description of the angel
