I realized that this gentleman was right when I went to Mussoorie for the first time and all by myself. Wikipedia could never explain this place better than a person who’s been there because it’s so much more than just facts and figures. It is one of the most beautiful and wonderful hill stations that our country has and it offers you one of the best adventurous escapes too.
Mussoorie is also called as the queen of hills, maybe because of the Himalayan resources that it has been blessed with. If you ever plan to have a adventurous vacation while you’re in North India, so let me tell you that its incomplete without Mussoorie in it. This place has beautiful breathtaking landscapes, various adventure sports and amazing shopping spots too! It has everything. I’m sure after reading this piece you would want to travel to Mussoorie but what I’m sure about it if you ever visit this place you would want to get lost there.
And if you still have questions and doubts running in your mind like, “will it be safe?” or “I’ve never been to a mountain before!” then let me ask you, when was the last time you did something for the first time? Don’t wait for the perfect plan or the right time. All you should have in your mind is ‘this is all you have, and you never know what the next moment brings’. Let your faith be greater than your fears and just make the right move. Stop being afraid of what all could go wrong and start believing that there’s a lot you can learn. Just know that this is your chance, - to be anonymous and to know yourself better.
So, if you ever get the courage and end up at the Queen of Hills- Mussoorie, I’m going to tell you the 3 things that you should ABSOLUTELY try once in a lifetime.
- Traverse the mountains: Walk, Trek or Hike: I can’t explain how those majestic mountains with lush green valleys drenched with floating clouds look. The landscapes are just mesmerizing, and it will make your walk/trek hard to forget. One of the most beautiful roads to name would be the road towards Happy Valley to Library Head, from Valley View to Clouds End, and Waverly Convent to Company Bagh in Mussoorie.

Kiss the sky- Go Paraglide: Mussoorie is known to be one of the best paragliding destinations in the country. It is one of the easiest ways to experience the thrill and fun of free flight. And the best part is one doesn’t need any prior training or experience for it and, you’re never too young or too old for it! The best time for any adventure sport in Musoorie is All Through the Year! (except for monsoons)
- For no trip is complete without it-SHOPPING: In case you are not an adventure kind of a person and you don’t really know what to do, then go for a shopping gig! You can find everything you want from books to antiques to handicrafts to winter wear- literally anything!
Still Need some inspiring words to why you should do it? Because in the end you won’t remember the time you spent in your office working for hours. Climb that goddamn mountain and you will cherish it for the rest of your life. For it isn’t a matter of money or time, it takes courage. Travel- choose courage!

And I really agree with what you mentioned at the beginning of the post, we just have to do it without waiting for the perfect plan to start a trip with the objective that is presented. These trips are the ones we enjoy the most. Now MUSSOORIE is in the list of places I would love to visit. Thanks, buddy.
