You do not Heard About this women (AF #2)

Today I am going to tell you something about the lady named Lilian Bland. Lilian Bland was one of the first women in the world to build, design and fly an airplane.

In 1922, when some had ever seen an airplane, she became excited about flying after collecting a card from her uncle in Paris. She started their work and made a biplane glider which she named Mayfly. The glider worked, but she wanted to produce powered flight like the Wright Brothers. So she ordered a two-stroke engine. It arrived before the fuel tank, but that didn’t lose their confidence.
She started constructing a tank out of a bottle of wine and whiskey and a deaf ear trumpet. But it didn’t work, her dedication paid off. Once the fuel tank arrived, she became the first woman to fly an aircraft in Ireland.
But her father does not like the idea of his daughter flying and offered to buy her a car. In the end, it absolutely worked, and she able to drive a car and learned to drive. Later, she became Ford’s first agent in Northern Ireland.
She was always unconventional. But she needs to fly helped prove in additional of women, and she also helped inspire others to achieve greatness all over the world.
