What are ETFs?

ETFs are Exchange Traded Funds. BTC ETFs are certificate which would have Bitcoin as their underlying assets. ETFs are little different than mutual funds. Mutual funds are purchased and sold at Net Asset Value at closing rates whereas ETF are traded at prevailing market prices during the trading hours.
How ETF will help BTC prices to surge?

1. ETF will induct Bitcoin to new category of investors who are inflexible to own bitcoin only because Bitcoin is not part of regular equity or commodity market. Bitcoin ETFs can lure such investors who are really big whales in traditional markets

2. As ETFs are certificate or electronic funds traded across the exchanges and it can held in Dematerialized account of the holders and it can bring up more trade and volumes for BTC apart from formal BTC exchanges

3. Bitcoin will be held in trust account of fund houses and ETF will add flexibility for the traders. ETF in form of Bitcoin will give option and flexibility to investors. Actual bitcoin transfers just for trading can be avoided and this will cut lot of transaction time of the investors

4. ETFs will open additional monetization (fiat) route for cryptocurrencies

The most positive thing of Bitcoin ETF is that one can see the trust wallets and its holding vs total ETFs issued. This flexibility is not there with Dematerialized accounts because those accounts are centralized in nature and verification is next to impossible. With Bitcoin ETF we are going to converge the traditional market with crypto market!
