meaning of mamluk in hinndi is GULAM or say SLAVE, so this is also called slave dynasty.

mamulak dyansty was established by Qutb ud-Din Aibak, a Turkic Mamluk slave general from Central Asia.

Qutb ud-Din Aibak:-

• he was a TURKISH ruler.
• he made LAHORE as his capital.
• he made a hut for 2.5 days by distroying saraswati mandir(school).

some achievement of Qutb ud-Din Aibak:-

• made Quwait-ul-Islam mosque in delhi.
• he also maid Qutub Minar

He died in 1210 by playing polo in Lahore,he fell from horse while playng polo.

Next ruler of MAMLUK DYNASTY was ILTUTMISH.

iltutmissh was slave of qutub-din -aibak.

• he defeted ARAM SHAH son of QUTUB-DIN-AIBAK. and declare himself sultan .
• iltutmish he ruled from 1211 to 1236.
• he shifted the capital from LAHORE to DELHI.
• During his dominion in Badaun, Iltutmish built the city's fort (Kotla) and the Jama Masjid Shamsi (great Frida Mosque) of the city, which remained the biggest and most famous Mosque in Medieval India until the expansion of Delhi's Jama Masjid in Alauddin's time and is still second largest with the largest Mosque Dome.

other important fact of MAMLUK DYNASTY.

• first and last muslim lady ruler:- RAZIA SULTANA.

• altunia sardar of BHATINNDA defeted razia sultana and married her.
• Gyasudin Balban slave of iltutmish ruled from 1266-1287.

last king of mamluk dynasty was QUIMERS.
