Premier League clubs rule the World Cup as Tottenham, Man United lead the way
With just four games left to play at the World Cup, it's interesting to see that the Premier League accounts for a strong proportion of the players still left at the tournament.
Indeed, English clubs are contributing decent numbers in terms of talent available for selection heading into the semifinals.
Comfortably out in front are Tottenham, who still have an impressive nine representatives at the World Cup in Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Keiran Trippier, Eric Dier, Jan Verthonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris.
Manchester United and Chelsea help bolster the Premier League contingent with seven players apiece, including stars like Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.
Liverpool offer England duo Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Croatia defender Dejan Lovren, and Simon Mignolet, who is unlikely to make an appearance for Belgium.
Three of Barcelona's four remaining players will face each other in Tuesday evening's first semi -- Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti with France, Thomas Vermaelen with Belgium -- while Ivan Rakitic will be pulling the strings for Croatia against England.
While PSG may still have four players at the tournament, only two -- Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Meunier -- are regular starters and the latter is suspended for the semifinals.
Juventus and Real Madrid offer three players each with stars such as Mario Mandzukic, Blaise Matuidi, Luka Modric and Raphael Varane numbered among them.
And last but by no means least, in Danny Welbeck, Arsenal have as many players left in Russia as the likes of Hoffenheim, HNK Rijeka and Dalian Yifang.
