How to take a leap of faith

Many of my friends and clients are very jealous of me. Wow, that sounds egotistical! However, it’s true and I know it is true because they tell me that they are.

I won’t leave you hanging too long as to the why. You might assume it is because of my striking beauty....hahahaha, or because I am so rich I have diamonds on the soles of my shoes. No, it is because I took a giant leap of faith and followed my dreams. And guess what? I am actually living my dream.

I dreamed of living on the beach in Mexico ever since I had an incredible opportunity to visit Puerto Vallarta that literally fell into my lap in 1983. I grew up in the Rocky Mountains in central USA. I loved my mountains, I loved the views, the wildflowers, the crimson and golden Aspen leaves in the fall, the Elk that cut through my property, the coyotes I would hear howling (once under my bedroom window), the mountain lion prints I would see circling my house after a fresh snow. I loved taking a shower and when washing my hair I would tilt my head back and see little baby hand prints on my skylight that were in actuality raccoon prints left by them exploring roof at night. Yet, I dreamed of the beach AND the mountains. Puerto Vallarta had both! Woohoo! I visualized living there, I took many vacations there over the years and jumped into the culture as much as possible as a tourist can on a 2 week trip.

So, I set a plan. I WOULD move to Mexico. I set a date, 2005, when my youngest graduated from high school. Everything I did from that point forward was with that in mind. I became very frugal and saved my money. In April of 2005, I left the USA with a carry on bag and a one way ticket to Mexico and never looked back.

So, most of friends are jealous. Many have come to visit and they are in awe. The number one question they ask me is “how did you do this”? A few have since been inspired and followed their own dreams. That makes me happy!

So, the main purpose of my blog will be about how I did this and how you can, too if that is your dream. I will show you how to move to Mexico or perhaps we will delve into moving to other countries, as well. We will explore different cities, the culture, the food, the money, the shopping, the health care and anything else my readers may be curious about.

The truth to the entire blog, the end story, so to speak, I will reveal right here, right now....just do it. Take that leap of faith, jump off the cliff and free fall into a whole new life.
