My review on Metizer cloud Mining and Genesis cloud mining.
I always try to tell that in this new world that is the cryptocurrency world, you have to be careful with the amount of money you invest in, so here's a video that I have invested in two cloud mining service, one is the Genesis ( More trusted one) and the other is METIZER ( HYIP that might last a couple more months) and how you can make some money out of it.

Is there a method for getting into mining without an initial investment? Or is that completely unheard of?

To get into mining without initial investment is hard, but it is possible. Just use faucets to earn some satoshis. These can be reinvested in cloudmining sites like Eobot. On Eobot for example, you get a small initial ammount of hash power for free. You can use this and the satoshis you earn from faucets to reinvest into more hasing power. It will take for ages but in theory it will snowball.
Another possibility is using your steem to buy BTC or just gambling ;-)

BTW, on Eobot you can cloudmine Steem, too. You can select a lot of different currencies.
