Barcelona star Lionel Messi has won a European award for his continental goals last season.
According to the official account of the Champions League, on the social networking site Twitter, Messi's goal against Liverpool won the title of the best in the tournament last season.
The goal came through the Argentine star's free-kick that scored the Brazilian goalkeeper Alison Baker at the Camp Nou, during the game against Barcelona and Liverpool to go semi-finals of the Champions League.
Although Barca won 3-0 in the first leg, they lost in the second leg at Anfield 4-0 and bid farewell to the European championship crowned Liverpool at the expense of Tottenham in the final.
