She is capable of mystically recognizing any information about the interlocutor. In some countries Momo is recognized as a serious hacker threat and they are trying to find ways to deal with it.

Soon, alarming news from Hispanic countries began to appear. In Argentina, local authorities linked the death of a 12-year-old girl to the fact that not long before, she had corresponded with WhatsApp with an account with the Momo avatar, News.com.au reported. The police hacked into the account of the deceased and questioned her 18-year-old acquaintance, with whom they communicated on the Internet, but other details of this story did not appear in the press.

What are the goals for Momo, what does he / she achieve?

This is either:

• virus, the purpose of which is to collect personal data of users, psychological pressure on the victim to push for a crime / suicide;
• the horror film advertising campaign;
• ridiculous, indecent joke.

American video blog ImJayStation, which released a video that begins as a rather frightening story, and ends like a viral awful post of the dawn of social networks. First ImJayStation showed viewers screenshots of messages allegedly from his correspondence with Momo.
