Hi steemians good day, today I want to share about the bible story. This is my second post on steemit I want to share a story about God. Please do not ignore my post because you will get benefited if you read this solemnly.
Men on the fire. Why is it called men on fire? Is he doing something wrong in his life that he come up with that bad punishment? Well, the story goes like this seat back and relax.
To the great surprise of the disciples, all the foreign visitors in Jerusalem seem to understand what they say. The faces of strangers from other lands light up as they hear the message of the love of Jesus told them by these humble and unlearned men. " Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? " they ask. "And how is it that we hear, each of us is in his own native language?''
It is beyond belief that these men from northern Palestine, who have never been to school, can talk in so many languages- to "Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,... Cretans and Arabians." How can it be," ask these foreigners, "that we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God?"
"They must be drunk," says someone. "They are filled with new wine." This is too much for Peter. He knows the true answer. The King of glory has remembered His old friends and has sent them the promised power. Standing where he can be both seen and heard, he cries: "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem ,... these men are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day; but this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out My Spirit upon allfresh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams......

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves know-this Jesus... you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. " But God raised Him up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it...
"Brethren, I may say to you confidently of the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet... he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ... "This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. "Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured out this which you see and hear." What a sermon! With flashing eye and powerful voice Peter tells about Jesus- His life, His death, His resurrection, and the wonderful way He fulfilled the prophecies of old.
Fearing neither priest nor ruler, scribe nor Pharisee, he cries, "Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified. Even the disciples are amazed at Peter's boldness. What can have happened to him? How can he hold thousands spell-bound like this? Something has happened to him. The power of God has come upon him. His heart has been set on fire by the Holy Spirit. Peter the coward, who thrice denied his Lord, has become Peter the fearless, a mighty witness for Jesus.
Now voices are being raised in the crowd. "Brethren, what shall we do?" They cry. "Repent," answers Peter, " and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of you sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all that are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Him" On and on he speaks, pleading with young and old to give there hearts to the Lord.

" Save yourselves from this crooked generation!" he cries. The response is marvelous. Three thousands people accept Jesus. The biggest baptism in history begins -and the Christian church is born.
Love God with all your hearts for He is powerful above all. That's all for today steemians I hope you like the Godly story.
