How to remember your bank account number every single time
Sometimes it could be quite useful to have a photographic memory. You are able to recall every past situation in your life, every telephone number and every bookpage you will ever be fascinated about. Actually it is possible to remember a lot of stuff without having a special brain. If we have a short look at memory champions, we quickly recognize that these special people aren't so special at all. They just trained their memory in a way to quickly save a lot of intangible information in their brain with the help of memory techniques.
I don't want to beat about the bush so my aim for today is showing each of you how to quickly memorize your bank account number. So therefore you need to know what the major-system really is. It is a system to make intangible numbers tangible by transforming numbers into words.
If we have a short look at wikipedia, we can have a good read about the major-system. These should give each of you, who is not familiar with the major-system a good overview. I'm going to teach the major system in detail in another article. However, today is about memorising your bank account number, so you don't have to dig desperately in your wallet anymore.
For example, my fictional bank account number is: AT65 3428 4273 7892. Of course this is not my real bank account number, but in case you want to donate something, I'm always very thankful about receiving a few SteemDollars. However, let's jump right into it.
For this system, you need to find a good anchor point. I would suggest, as we want to recognize our bank account number, we will just use our debit card as our starting point. I would suggest to put your debit card out of your wallet and have a quick and very detailed look at it. Now close your eyes and try to remember as much details as possible. Next, you'll open your eyes again and have a closer look at it. Repeat that process three to four times.
Now here comes the fun part. 6 stands for ch, sch, g, 5 stands for** l**, 3 stands for m, 4 stands for r, 2 stands for n and 8 stands for v, w or f. If you have a quick look at wikipedia, you will find out that there is an easy way to associate this letters with these digits. For example n has two verticle lines, which is the reason why it stands for 2, m has three verticle lines, which is the reason why it stands for 3.
Alright. Our task is now to fill the empty spaces inbetween with vowels.
65 = gel
34 = more
28 = info
42 = run
73 = mini
78 = coffee
92 = pony
Now it's your turn. Your task is to find a funny and memorable story to remember these words. I would start with having a giant tube of hair gel applying to my hair with my debit card. Try to close your eyes and imagine it as detailed as possible. Suddendly my best friend comes into my room and applies even more hair gel into my hair that my hair becomes really sticky.
He asks me if I had any info what to do if you ever run out of gel. He tells me to use mini portions, which seems like a good Idea. He is so wisely. As all wisely people, he has a long beard. He really cares about his beard and always puts coffee inside his beard to make it look great. But never use coffee for your hair or you will have a pony
very well done, thank you for your comment! :)
