This painting represents the tragic day of September 11, 2001, when the United States was attacked by Islamic Terrorists. New York was the hardest hit. Almost 3000 people were killed. Many are still dying of lung cancer and other diseases, from inhaling toxic dust while digging. Also people who lived in that zone. 343 on the helmet is the number of fire fighters who died that day, never to go home to their families.
