well, its also the one thing that would have spread the power away from the devs/ninjas and put more wisdom of the crowds into curation. ANd to be honest, all this really tells me is that theyre willing to discuss the benefits in theory, but unwilling to put their money where their mouth is.
idk i should just learn to expect stuff like this or kick rocks.

Just as a side note, this post was flagged by @gavvet and @jrcornel , two of the individuals responsible for the most egregious abuse of concentrated whale self-voting and abuse of the n^2 curve.
I normally don't call people out on their votes, but downvoting a (then 18 cent) post to hide it because it says something you don't agree with is flat out shitty.
Actually I agree with the idea and have voiced my opinion on that matter many times. It had nothing to do with that. It had to do with the immature nature of your post and your incessant nature to flag me.
I don't think the post is immature at all. I didnt call him a poopy pants. I certainly didn't call him an assassin. I made an important point about the entirely legitimate sense of betrayal many feel (edit to note -- i really shouldnt speak to how others feel. I should speak to how i myself feel, and how i expect others will feel) becasue steemit inc is committed to keeping n^2.
I flag you because your payouts are undeserved. Because you misuse whale stake to upvote yourself.
I don't buy for a microsecond that you and the others that benefit from concentrated self-upvoting support getting rid of n^2 with anything but lip service. I was born on a thursday, but it wasn't last thursday.
You are free to think anything you want but last time I checked you don't know what I do or do not think. If steemit.com takes off and the price of steem follows suit we all benefit a lot more than what you are implying. Having a large stake of something that is worthless is still worthless...

What's a curation cat?
a bunch of SG themed memes that i made in one of the discussions on SG. The theme of this one is that the cat is covering itself with money while waxing self-righteous about its altrustic intentions. This is funny because the cat's words say one thing and his actions tell another story. Sound familiar?
Also, just as a side note: I am legitimately killing you in this debate. I get that you SG guys have a policy of not engaging in debate about how much money youre pocketing, and i really really see why now. You completely suck at it.

I don't know what you are thinking. But i, and everyone else, can look at your actions and infer what your thought process is by those actions. It happens all the time. You are telling one story out of your mouth (or out of your fingers since youre typing i guess), but your actions tell an entirely different and fundamentally inconsistent story.
What actions? Oh you mean the actions of helping over 400 authors receive payouts that they never would have received otherwise? Any compensation that any member has received has been in direct correlation to time put in on the project. Or do you mean the action of powering down and continuing to put pressure on the price of steem, oh wait that is not happening by any member of the guild, myself included. In fact all members are doing just the opposite, they are powering up. One look at your account says otherwise...
No. Im sorry. I was unclear. I mean stuffing your greedy lilttle pockets with hundreds of dollars a day in whale self-upvotes. That should be clear to all readers. My problem isn't with you helping these authors (though mostly what you did was throw them scraps) it is with you helping yourself to far more than you ever helped anyone else to.
Yes, you get to decide how much to pay yourself based on how much you think you worked. And keep in mind that youre paying youself for what you expect others to do for free -- reading posts on steemit and voting on them. In fact, there are many many people who would be thrilled to do the same thing for free. but that wouldn't be compatible with your business model.
Im powering down because i think, if the price of steem recovers, it will do so after going far lower than it already is. My money works hard for me. I am not going to hold an asset that believe is likely to depriciate in value. Asking individuals to ignore thier own financial best interests to help the group is what a cult does, and I am not interested in joining a cult.
I said this when the price was $2, and everyone said 'it will never go lower than $1' and i said it when the price was $1 and people said 'it will never go below .50' you get the pattern. Like most patterns involving me having an opinion it revolves around me being constantly right and everyone who doesn't agree with me being wrong.
If steem needs people not to sell or spend it in order to retain its value, it is not a viable crypto-currency. Simple as that. because thats kind of what you do with a currency -- you spend it. If steem can't handle that, then there are far larger issues than me powering down that need to be addressed.
Also note that nearly all of the steem that I have powered down and sold is steem that I bought out o f my own pocket. Because i don't post very much, my posting rewards are pretty negligible, and i almost always give away all the money i earn from posting. (in fact, ive given away a bit more than my total posting income).
So all the "sell" pressure that im providing that you think is driving down the market, there was also buy pressure when i went into my pocket and bought the steem int he first place.
Had nothing to do with the post, just returning some of the flags you borrowed me...

So revenge flagging. Awesome. This is what steemit inc is keeping n^2 in order to support. Users should ask theemselves -- Is this really what you want? Is this really what you think will attract people to the platform?
And no, im not whining. I made like 4 bucks off your flags. INasmuch as I care at all about the money i make from posting (i don't, i give most of it away) your flag was a win.

I asked beanz today if she knew what happened with you. I mean, obviously you were powering down, but you were still super active on chat right up until the day you disappeared and never returned. Of course it's possible you were so sick of what was going on that you just decided fuck it. And then when you realized you made a monetary mistake on the deal you decided fuck me. But she speculated that you might have come back under another name. If that does happen to be the case and you ever check this blog, I'd be glad to help you boost whatever account you might have. I'm pretty useful when it comes to that, I've been known to rally troops, to make people money on resteems etc. And
