Weekend and finally gas prices below 100

in #meme3 years ago

It is a new weekend and for the first time in a very long time, I am able to see gas prices below 100. That still isn't cheap, meaning that you will pay a whole lot to do any sort of transaction on the Ethereum blockchain, but it is still better than what we have seen in the last couple of weeks when it has been quite normal to use gas fees around 150 to get your transactions through.

It can be seen that Defi is booming, and all those transactions made on platforms like OHM and StrongBlock are taking up a lot of energy and also helping see an increase in the transactions prices.

Of course, the biggest users are Uniswap and then comes USDT and Ethereum transactions in general. But, behind those, all sorts of Defi platforms show up, and of course, OpenSea where people are buying and selling NFTs like crazy. I simply do not get it, just like I don't understand all those MEME coins that I mentioned yesterday.

However, just after I wrote my article yesterday, I saw an article on Cointelegraph in which the author mentioned that big investors move from MEME coins to more solid coins. That sounds like a wise decision to me! :)
