I was talking about this last night with my fiancee, trying to debate what the best tactic would be to take to bring an end to the gun violence that is clearly out of control. It is a very hard debate to be had in the State of Florida, where I am from. Gun ownership is part of the tradition there. I grew up around guns, learning how to safely handle them, all family members owning multiple firearms. I do not own a firearm, nor would I ever because of my own beliefs, but that doesn't mean I don't support my family in having them. I see them not supporting any changes because "they aren't the ones who are violent". We need to do something, I just don't know what.

Thanks @beemillz. And to clarify, I'm not for confiscation/outlawing. I just want it to be reasonable restrictions on who can have things and what type of things you can have. What pisses me off is that nobody will start the conversation.

You are right on that one!
