Walk the lanes of the town and see the street art
The cactus in the botanical gardens are pretty awesome!
Cruise the parks in the middle of town, it is not far to walk to the beach from town.

Thanks for sharing pictures of lovely melbourne. Just give you a upvote as this recalls my memory from the past when i study in melbourne (somewhere in parkvillie). I mean even in city, there are so many places to go and you can still find some quiet cafe for a day if you want. Not happening in asia :(
