Gran Canaria is an amazing holiday destination you may want to discover, once you're there.

For a reason last year 13 million tourists were received at the local airport in Las Palmas.

In times of unstable political situations in many European countries, Canary Islands have somehow become a popular and safe hideaway. Territorially they belong to Spain, yet as they're located close to the Western African coast they're enjoying a special type of discreteness.

Now if you decided to participate in our Meet-up, you could easily combine the steemy program with some extended relaxing holidays.

I was lucky to meet the two organizers of the event recently.

@cauac and @kilianparadise - these are two steemians at heart who're investing every second of their free time in the Steem blockchain.

They've considerably contributed to the growth of the steemy fan base on Canary Islands, and I'm happy they'll be hosting such a nice community event now.

Considering these creamy and delicious conditions, maybe Roeland @roelandp even wants to keep the Canaries in mind for a future @steemfest...😉

Besides the frequent and economical flight connections, the Canary Islands are quite affordable. You might be able to stay for 3 nights at a really comfortable 4-star-accomodation in Maspalomas for ~200-250 Euros.

Now being able to rely on some excellent connections into the tourism sector, we'd be even able to negotiate prices for a group of 200-300 steemians.

Let's pave the way for a Steemfest 2019 on Canary Islands... We're ready - are you? 😎
