March BTC Philly Blockchain Cryptocurrency Meetup Recap & Highlights with PIVX, Ken Bosak and Vidyen
After the work of planning an event, it's a rush finally getting together with everyone to hang out over food and drinks to discuss crytpos and see some cool presentations.
We're fortunate to have the whole 2nd floor of the Institute Bar to ourselves, as it allows for lots of small discussions on a variety of topics as well as the set up to do presentations. This free us from having to rely on someone's office or shared work-space environment. We had a nice turn out with some new folks as well as some "old heads".
James presented his @Vidyen platform which uses Coinhive to generate rewards for video content. A big part of his motivation is create opportunity for content producers and to attract producers from other platforms like Youtube that have seen that earning potentials demonetized.
(lot of discussion was going on about it afterwards)
Then we had the pleasure of hearing about the @PIVX network and crytocurrency platform, from Bryan their community manager. PIVX has a really cool model with a lot of appealing features as well as a strong, supportive community with very a human focused value system. I didn't know much about it before, but Bryan is a fantastic presenter who really fluidly blended both the tech elements and the benefits of their cryptocurrency in human terms. I loved it.
Not only that, but he brought us some awesome PIVX shirts and string bags.
And fortunately our man @KennethBosak came back in the mix after several months of travel to conferences and fun in SxSW Austin, LA and more. Was cool hearing about some of his adventures and get his perspective on recent market events and news. And all-around, just a super-fun guy to kick-it with.
Be sure to check out Kenn's YouTube show if you're not already a listener, he does awesome work!

As usual the night went late, past the usual 9:30 end point and a few of us kept talking till close to 11:00. It's hard to break away from the crypto-crew!
Thanks for tuning in and hope you enjoyed.
Best,
