Keeping backbone straight while sitting

In today's world sitting on a floor or flat surface is a big challenge for people. People are used to sitting a lot in chairs and sofas will fill sophistications. In order to understand the ultimate reality one should first get out of all the sophistications. Be it physical or mental, it is important to understand why a simple life is very interesting. Getting back to the topic, it is important to keep the backbone straight while sitting. There are both physical and mental benefits in sitting straight.

Aligning the Chakras

There are 7 chakras totally namely Moolaadhara, Swathistana, Manipuraha, Anahata, Visudhi, Aagnaa and Sahasrara. It is believed that the energy flowing or three follow of Kundalini happens when a person is keeping the backbone erect. The kondalini travels from Moolaadhara to Sahasrara without any hinderences. It takes some time for a person to reach the state of meditation after sitting in the posture of meditation. It is usually the time taken for the body to calm down and align with the Chakras and energy flowing in the body. With regular practice of meditation this can be made easier. Keeping backbone straight while sitting all the time, even while working in office can help in increasing focus and concentration. This can also help in increasing blood circulation in the body.

Energy movement

Chakras are the major energy repositories in the human body. It is also believed that even other living beings apart from humans also have the concept of chakras and energy movement in the body. That is what helps certain species be special in their hunting skills and stealth. When a person regularly practice sitting in erect posture keeping backbone straight, the energy movement in the body will be perfect creating good concentration and focus on things that are done. This will also strengthen the Chi of a person and helps in understanding and sustaining the spiritual connection. Some of these practices may not be pleasant to follow but if it is followed regularly, it will give a good satisfaction also with other physical and mental relief.
