What is meditation?
This concept in many causes a lot of resistance ... Well, that's how it is - just sit, just watch yourself, your thoughts, your body ?! Yes, in a few seconds you'll get up! No - it's better - if you want to rest - just to sleep - or to read a book - or to "hang" in the internet ... And all these "observations" - to us, Western people - to nothing ...
But if many people have been doing this for thousands of years - maybe it will come in handy for us?
Man is part of the universe. And the laws of conservation and replenishment of energies work both on the macro level - and on the micro - in our human energetics. Everyone knows that there are renewable sources of energy. And there are non-renewable. Renewable are the energies of the elements. Solar batteries, windmills, hydroelectric power plants. Soil fertility. Although of course the soil should be periodically fertilized - otherwise it will be exhausted quickly - and it will be necessary to take a break in crops so that it rests and replenishes its resources. About non-renewable resources - there oil, gas and other - I will refrain from talking here. Although it is in our "western" approach to keeping ourselves "toned" and "dumping" the accumulated fatigue and stress that many of us respect all sorts of "combustible gases (nicotine) and mixtures (you yourself understand that)." And consider them almost the only panacea for "raising the spirit".
However, man is part of the universe. Our body - while alive - constantly supports a bunch of processes that consume and release energy. The main thing - and for many, almost the only one available to us - the source of energy is food. But - alas - in the last 20 years our food - in its qualitative composition - is farther and farther away from natural components and elements. Milk with a shelf life of six months has in common with the milk of a living cow except that color. Peach or pear, which, after being torn from the tree, was carried for a month in the stuffy hold of the dry cargo ship, preserves for us only the quality of fiber. And the energy of the Earth, warmed by the Sun, watered by Water and lulled by the Wind - alas - most likely - lost ...
Many complain of overeating. The fact that they find it difficult to satisfy their appetite with a comfortable amount of food for the stomach. In addition to all other reasons - sure - this is due to the fact that we eat "emasculated" in energy foods.
And we spend energy very, very wastefully. We talk a lot - a lot of nerves - a lot of worry - a lot of every action every day we take. We are very, very active. Even when we give a rest to our body - we lie on the couch, or we settle in a comfortable armchair - we continue to exhaust ourselves with harsh sounds - and images of TV that are too emotional for our emotional perception, or "tusim" in our LJ or on forums ... And all this is non - stop ...
Yes - of course - sometimes we sleep. We "fall" into a dream when there is simply no strength to keep our eyes open so that we can "absorb" something else from the environment - and we "emerge" from a dream - as a rule - by a sharp alarm of our alarm system ...
So we live for years and decades ... And then - for years to forty - we start to wonder why we are so weak - vyalenkie - painful ... Or to thirty ... Many diseases in our time are rapidly "young." Many.
So that's it. Let's once again recollect, that the Person is a part of the Universe. And on the rights of this part has every opportunity to replenish its energy with renewable energy resources. A "charger", in which - preferably regularly - you need to "insert your batteries" - this is just meditation. That state between sleep and active wakefulness, in which you can finally meet with yourself. Give Mother - Earth accumulated irritation, fatigue, feel its support and acceptance. Replenish your energy resources. "Breathe" clamps and blocks. Feel your unity with the World.
I hope with "why do it" even a little understood.
Now let's talk about how to do it - it's for us, Western people.
First - choose a pillow for yourself in the ass. Soft enough to make the pope comfortable, flat enough to feel the firmness and reliability of the support under it. Pillow should please you. It should be yours and only yours. Keep it in a secluded place.
You also need 10 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. Time for yourself. Time, when both TV and radio - are silent, the household is busy with their own affairs and you - with a clean or not - conscience can be alone with yourself. And with a solid guarantee that no one will disturb your privacy.
Yes, more importantly. Regularity of your "recharging". Many of you use such batteries for your players or dictaphones. And you have such "charging cars", where you periodically insert "seeded" batteries. Imagine that instead of regularly recharging a depleted battery, you just throw it somewhere, and then you'll be surprised - why is it so empty?
You are the same battery, only alive - and as a result of this, having much more opportunities to replenish your energies, increase your tone. You can draw the energies and joys of life directly from all the sources available to you. It would be a desire ...
Your pillow - this is just your "car for recharging." If you often travel - you can get yourself an extra, more compact travel pillow. But it should be on hand whenever you feel the urge or need to "recharge".
So, we begin. Slow sips we drink a glass of pure - preferably spring - water. Presenting how the energies of Water wash your inner Space. They wash off the accumulated bitterness of frustration and the web of anxieties.
We put the pillow on the floor, or on a sofa, or on a chair. There, where it will be most comfortable for you to sit for 10-15 minutes with a straight back.
We sit down on the pillow, imagining that here - we connected to the Energies of the Universe. And that now - this time - all the systems, all channels of the body will be included in the process of dumping - a set of energies. In exchange with the Great Mother. In exchange with the Great Father.
We relax the stomach. We make it soft. Open. Sensitive. For a while we just sit and watch how your breathing gathers from the body and from the soul the accumulated pain - fear - anger - irritation - and lets it out. And in return fills you with peace, silence, balances your emotions, facilitates your body and soul.
We breathe gently, evenly, relaxed, with a warm belly. Feeling the flow of energy. Filling you, restoring your strength. Giving you joy and hope.
If you feel the tension - spasm - the pain in you - before changing the pose, try to make 2-3 expirations there, "straightening out" this area, filling it with life-giving energy. Then - change the pose to make it easier to relax.
When you feel that today is enough, or just the timer you set for 10-20 minutes, put both hands on your stomach. Feel how your feet and feet firmly rest on the floor. Feel the support of your pillow. Do three slow inhalations and exhalations. Tell yourself mentally: "Good. Reliable. Safely. Good. "And slowly, without sharp movements, get up.
While you are sitting on your pillow you will be overcome with all sorts of thoughts. Pictures of their past - present - future. This is normal. There will come such a picture - or a thought - or an emotion will rush - well. Let yourself be enthralled. Without resistance. But then - when you can remember about your recharging process, imagine that those energies of the world with which you - here and now - in contact - are "washed" by your images and emotions. Return to your perception of the natural colors of life. You know for sure that the world is colorful. And even if something now seems to you black and hopeless - it is completely fixable ... It would be a desire ...
