City of Medina in the era before the development of Islam known as the Yathsrib. This city includes the forbidden land. The meaning of haram here is that it is forbidden in the cities of Mecca and Medina to cut standing trees, kill game animals, and take up arms for the purpose of shedding blood or fighting.
