During my NYSC I was posted to a village close to Mubi local government Adamawa state, as INEC ADHOC OFFICER.
I noticed the people of this town have many old age than adult. I registered people like 120yrs, 145yrs and 90 to 100yrs are the average age in arithmetic progression.
As a researcher I wanted to know how they are making it to live longer, I closed to some of them, I noticed they used to drink particular water after every meal. I was able to taste the water but very bitter... Waoo, what is this, I asked my self and I asked people around me, I need to know how they made this water and luckily one of their son show the leaf they are using to me. I packed that leaf, preserved it and snap it.
Since then I'm been looking for a way to know more about this leaf..
As a reseacher I travel wide and far to see if my tribe knew more about this leaf.
Today I met a man from ife, who expressed the cognomen of this leaf to me. To my surprise, our forefather knew it well....read this and tell me what you infer....
