It is with extreme pleasure that the Minnow Support Project elected Witnesses announce the latest team of Medal of Honor Recipients-

MSPWaves is a streaming radio station controlled, powered, and supported by the Minnow Support Project for the benefit of the Steemit community. In the short week of test runs we've already hit 1500 views through Twitch and it's evidence that the Steemit community has already started embracing mspwaves. We're able to spread crypto news, crypto love, music, peace, abundance, and liberty for the community at large. Now you can have your music and hear quick news breaks letting you know the Steem or BTC price as well as what's the latest on the block!

What was constructed?

mspwaves.com is a wordpress site that hosts the DJ schedule and allows DJs to get themselves scheduled to host their shows. It's a fully functional site designed to let folks know who is DJing and what their show is about. It also connects to a media server that is connected to Twitch and will in short order connect to youtube, periscope and other streaming services.

What can we play?

The station subscribes to Sound Exchange, which is licensed through the Library of Congress to share 18,000,000 well known songs. The station also subscribes to a library of basically royalty free music to allow for off radio background music.

Who put this together

@sircork has taken the lead on the project, and in 3 weeks took an idea of "Hey, we should start a radio show" and turned it into a fully functional operation of 16ish shows and 20 DJs.

@sircork has brought on board two supporters @ma1neevent and @r0nd0n. @ma1neevent is handling a lot of the people aspects of this project including training and scheduling. @r0nd0n has taken on some of the technical administration aspects of the station including server maint. and keeping her running. All three are receiving the MSP Medal of Honor!!!

This one comes with a financial reward

@sircork has spent his own personal money to get the servers up and running and it will require an ongoing cost of at least $40/month for the media servers. As a consequence this Medal of Honor will also come with a 200 SBD reward to help cover ongoing server costs and get the initial cost covered and with the hopes that future posts will cover the costs.
