Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
½ lb ground pork
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
Fresh parsley for garnish
Steps
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand, then place a spoonful of mozzarella cheese in the center.
Fold the meat around the cheese to form a ball, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat.
Once done, serve the meatballs warm, topped with marinara sauce and sprinkled with Parmesan and parsley.
Good Luck
