As a birthday present, someone gives you a jigsaw game in 500 pieces. Four days later, you managed to compile 79, 48, 67, and 58 pieces. You want to know the number of pieces you have compiled. To find out, you can add up the number of pieces you have compiled, i.e. 79 + 48 + 67 + 58.

You can add up without saving by adding the numbers by column. Then, add up the whole number. First, add up the numbers in the unit columns, and write the results. Then add up the number in the dozens column, and write the result by shifting one line to the left, or the last digit in the dozens column. Finally, add up the numbers according to the column. You will get the results. Let's try this "unsaving method" in the example of the jigsaw number you have compiled.

Let's try with another example!

If you get a storage assignment, just use this way, that is summing up without saving. You must get the right result.

Always remember! This trick can also be applied to the sum of hundreds. You simply write hundreds by shifting one column to the left or the last number in the hundreds column. Next add up. However, gradually you still need to save if you use this way, but not often.
