Why do people HATE math?

Mathematics is one of the subjects which I really enjoy and serve as my past time when I am doing nothing. I love solving problems because for me, it is very challenging specially the level of the difficulty of the subject makes me eager to learn mathematics and I want to solve them all. So I wonder why people hate math that's why I search a video which is related to this matter.

The video clearly says that people hate math because of these factors;

1. The difficulty of the subject
2. Teacher factor
3. Mathematics cannot be use in real life situation.

The difficulty of the subject

When we are in elementary, math is very easy since the only operation being use is addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. As the time pass, the student realize that mathematics is getting difficult because instead of number they use letter to solve. Of course, the student think "why these letters are here in mathematics? What is the relation between the numbers and the letters in this subject?". Because of that, their motivation in studying mathematics are getting weaker since they will think math is a boring subject. That's why people labeled "math" as mental abuse to human. But I think this saying is just a reason because not all people treated mathematics as mental abuse to human. Instead of having that kind of mindset, take it as a challenges in your life that you want to cope up with so that during your journey, you will have fun while solving those problems. I tell you, math is a skill and cannot be easily to achieve because you must have a good foundation for you to understand the art of analysis.

Teacher Factor

We cannot deny that teacher is one of the main reasons why students hate math. If the teacher cannot deliver the lesson clearly specially mathematics, the student will started to hate the teacher and the subject itself. They start to feel bored because of the teaching approach of the teacher. If the teacher will not create a good rapport to their students then the students will not be motivated to study. These things are the challenges of the teacher that must to cope up with specially if they teaching mathematics. I believe that mathematics is a skill so, the teacher must teach it gradually until the student will love it and master it.

Mathematics cannot be use in real life situation

They say mathematics is useless since this subject cannot be use in real life situation. If they have that kind of mindset, they will probably hate the subject. I admit that some of the topics in mathematics cannot be related to real life specially if the topics will go deeper that a normal people can't even understand. But they didn't know that this subject is very useful because mathematics is the language of science. Therefore if there is no mathematics, we don't know every facts about this world because this world is related to science and mathematics is the language use in science.
