Black Panther Goes on To be One of The Biggest Box Office Hits of All Time/Review
Going into the weekend that just passed, the long-awaited Black Panther film was finally released to theaters across the globe and has gathered attention from everyone with it being the first standalone superhero film to be featuring a black superhero.
I've had the pleasure of watching Black Panther a day after its release and it was an absolute cultural phenomenon! I loved the film from the moment it even started, in all ways, Black Panther is unique and unlike any other Marvel film. The only tiny bit of criticism I have is that it was a bit predictable though the story-line was extremely touching and intriguing, so that factor is made up for. Black Panther touched many social issues in a perfect way with involving the purpose and foundation of Wakanda. I was curious as to how they were going to embed some of these issues into the story-line and after watching the film, they couldn't have done it better. Black Panther will serve to be a beautiful example to every Marvel or non-Marvel fan that watches it.
To no surprise, Black Panther completely dominated the box office with it accumulating $60.1 million on Sunday and the three-day box office floating up to $201.8 million, marking Black Panther to be the fifth biggest box office film of all time and Marvel's second biggest right behind the first Avengers film. Black Panther also stole the mantle away from Deadpool for also having the largest President's Day weekend opening ever. In its four-day opening, Black Panther is speculated to pass The Avengers and Jurassic World. With all the reviews out and people constantly discussing the film, it's easy to say the movie theaters are going to be crowded up for quite some time.
I highly recommend everyone to go check out Black Panther whether you're a fan or not, it's not only highly enjoyable but it also teaches many important lessons valuable to today's world. If you have already seen the film, please comment down below with your thoughts on it, both good and bad. Black Panther and Wakanda will definitely be seen again in Avengers: Infinity War as it is the next Marvel film set in line to be released and the most anticipated!
Hey, I'm Oatmeal Joey, and Black Panther teaches what lessons?
