Organic Substance Found on Mars

As a part of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory flight, explorer Robot Merak (Curiosity) in the automobile-sized discovery at Gale Crater in Mars found new evidence pointing to life on Mars in the past. In addition, some of the clues from the planet's atmosphere can shed light on whether there is any vitality on Mars. These evidences are of great importance in terms of research on the surface and under the surface of the planet, although this is not a direct evidence of life.

The new findings, announced in a report published in Science magazine on June 8, 2018, indicate that the seasonal variation of methane levels in the atmosphere, as well as "intact" organic molecules in 3 billion years old sedimentary rocks near the surface are reported.
