The power of Marketing... in a red bottle.
Some days ago I came across with a publicity campaign made by the sauces giant Heinz, known everywhere in the world, few are the ones that do not recognize their bottles or logotype... well basically most of us do indeed associate the word ketchup with them... even so that most of the time I buy the so-called"white brands"!
After a 2.2% drop in sales at Heinz Canada, the company decided a new approach near the clients, it was asked to several people to draw ketchup and most of them designed a bottle of the brand. The result was marketing made by the consumers themselves.
Check out the video:
At the same time, a contest was taking place on social networks, until the 31st of January, with the hashtag #drawketchup. The 250 winning "artists" will receive a box and a bottle with their design on the label.
So, is a reason to say that are some brands are already part of our global culture, does not matter where you are, they stand out and make somehow a connection, almost like an invisible bridge between continents and different people.
