Market Friday. #Warning~You might get tired scrolling down and down coz there are loooots of pics😁
For today's #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle I want to show you all a glimpse of a market/bazaar from India.
I went to this Craft bazaar last Sunday and since then was waiting for #marketfriday to show it to you all.I took a loot of colourful pictures of the bazaar. First I thought of making two market fridays but couldn't help and added all of them here.Lols😁.So,have a look and don't forget to comment your views😊
Handicrafters from all over India comes to exibit their talent here. Many stalls were setup and it took us an entire evening to visit all of them.
Isn't it colourful??
These utensils are made from sea shells.
Some hand paintings made from natural colours.
Some coral bead jewellery from Ladak
These vibrant coloured ''Shagun Envelopes'' are used to gift cash to relatives or friend during weddings or festivals. And they are from handmade papers.
Moving over to some more stalls.
Ahh .Those 6yard wonders~Sarees
And those golden brocades....
Hehe..Don't worry.I din't catch some random flying fly. They are made from cast iron. One small fly costs about 400INR.But its worth the hardwork.
This is what I liked the most in the whole bazaar. They look so natural.
An entire army of cast iron dog or idk some other animal
And whats an Indian Bazaar without some colourful bangles?
I guess these are some traditional Marathi jewellery.
And there was this stall where they will make your name from a single wire.
These colourful woven baskets.
Some hanging planters and bird houses.
Some pottery.
Some hangings made from bamboo
A cute bamboo fountain
Some wooden works
Am on the wall.Lols.In the mirror.
Don't go by the odd look of these bells. They makes a very pleasent ringing sound.
More of them.
Home decor.
Some beautiful lamps
Beautiful brass pieces.
I also managed to click some pics for 'love notes travelling the world' in this crowded bazaar😁This person just needed a picture of some unique place and a note about it!!!
Some cultural folk art form was also going on and it was getting dark and cold an my stomach was rumbling.
So we headed to grab some snack.Had some pav bhaji's.
And let me tell you I din't buy a single item from this mesmerising, inviting, inviting bazaar.Self control 😏My husband was very proud of me.😇Lols.

This was an absolutely fabulous time at this bazaar! You are right. It could easily have been split into two or three posts! I also get too excited about it to do that and then, the very next week, I panic, thinking I am going to have to do another one. LOL
I have never seen so many beautiful handcrafed items in one spot, ever! I love those 6 yard wonders those sarees! Just beautiful!
Brass, copper, paper crafts. The bangles, the yummy food!
Thank you! You did such a wonderful job of making this a most wonderful day with all of us!!

What a colorful place to shop! :) I even spotted a cute teapot with an owl on it. (I don't want to like owls but I do. lol)
And the food doesn't look half bad either. Although I have to admit, the last time I ate at an India restaurant, the food was a bit spicy for me. It had a nice taste though.
(I like spicy, my stomach does not. lol)
I agree,Indian food is a bit spicy. But the one in the pic is not that spicy. It's called Pav Bhaji.
I had to look closely all the pictures again to find the tea pot you told about😁 i guess its the one in the 7th pic ?
Yes, in the 7th picture. :)
Lovely pictures! India's handicraft tradition continues to survive despite all odds! My hand got tired scrolling, but my eyes are as refreshed as ever!
Hahaha 😊
