Crypto marketcap - Where did it come from and where is it now!

This is my first blog, I wanted to give my point of view on December 2017 - January 2018 and the 8 billion dollar market cap. It is my opinion that the video adds on youtube by a few of BitConnect's finnest were responsiable for bringing the masses to crypto. Both the increased number of new buyers, and the increasing number of Google searches for crypto related search terms were caused by these adds. Adds showing users wallets with massive gains over very short times, enticed people who had never heard of altcoins, and maybe heard of Bitcoin but never took the time to explore it too do some searching and see what this was all about. Many people watching these adds were smart enough not too get into Bitconnect and instead found the otherwise not well known Coin Market Cap, and started their journey into crypto from there. As Bitconnect started to pass away, and the world started to ban adds the marketcap dwindled and the new patrons followed.

It is now July 2018 and we are in a similar place as July 2017 but with a massive presence on the inter-webs now that we did not have before November 2017 to January 2018. Now that the crypto space is expanding into real world use cases and we are only a year or so away from mass adoption, The next thing to bring the masses into crypto should bring a massive explosion of marketcap. And at a time when lots of these good projects will actually start to be used by big business, we may find much higher support for a larger marketcap. Anything from the expected August ETF's to the exposure of Bitcoin and altcoins on popular talk shows upcoming could be the next catalyst for a major bullrun.
