Why it is very hard for companies like apple to launch in europe
Young entrepreneurs , the driving force behind the tech industry of today ; Elon Musk , Steve jobs and such names ring familiar in our ears .
Have you ever heard someone european do that ?
You do have guys like croatian Mate Rimac who has made a successful electric sportscar company exsist , but we will get to that .
Contrary to this fact we have projects all over eu giving funds to young students who are starting out with their ideas for merely presenting them on paper .
Yet it is the us who pioneers in young successful people ?
This is where we get to the point of this article , government funding is a suicide for creativity and competitive free market .
Where ever government gets involved in the market , if it does not do so totally it is a failure , and in scenario where it does it is marginally less successful than free market .
This happens because of :
- Corruption ; there is usually a factor involved where someone is favorited for a project or funding because they politically align with the set body of government , or simply because they have friends in that branch (e.g town halls ) .
- Blatant lies ; This one is mostly highlighted in a case with kickstarter , where a similar situation is created , you see someone can get 50000$ of funding to start a business and make a great project proposal , but who says they cant buy a nice car and drink it all ? ( look into kickstarter failures for reference . )
- Human factor ; how can the government know if one guy is ready (or not ) to not sleep all nights and work on the project , not drink or eat enough to save every cent so the project can prosper , and some people are simply better at this than others . , it is a fact of life , so giving funds to the wrong one will have him dominate for a short time and effectively messing the whole sector up because he also ruined the better guys business and done so without working as much .
