The Amazing Resilience of The Marijuana Plant - Exclusive Steemit Outdoor Grow Pics

There is a reason the Cannabis plant is considered a weed. It is highly resilient and demonstrates the meaning of vigorous growth. In this article I'm going to show you some never before seen photos of my personal outdoor grow. These aren't your normally sought after high times centerfold bud porn pictures. These pictures show you what can be the tough reality of outdoor guerilla growing.

This year has seen a cold spring with a slow start to summer that then became the worst drought in almost 200 years for the region. I'm going to focus on just two specific plants that have shown drastically the various stresses a plant can go through and still survive.

I'd like to introduce you to two AK47s we'll call them Sasha and Natalia (from left to right)

Sasha and Natalia were impressive since the moment their tap roots sprouted from their seeds. They put all the other seeds that were being germinated to shame. I knew I was going to have two big plants. This is how the girls looked a week after being transported to their outdoor location. After this visit I knew I wouldnt' be able to come back for at least a few weeks. I applied deer repellent liberally and confirmed there would be rain in the forecast.

Unfortunately it took me just over a month to return to our ladies and that month for most of it was hot, humid and without rain. This is how they looked when I first arrived. You'll notice Sasha was leaning over on her side. I'm unsure if a deer or wind was responsible for this. The heavy hoof marks in the top soil make me think it was a deer.

This is how they looked about 3 hours after arrival I managed to get them fresh water and nutrients while there was also a mild sun shower to help give the leaves a little moisture. I really didn't mind working away during this little bit of rain since it was needed so badly. You'll notice Sasha has been put back to resume her normal vertical growth. To give you an idea of size these plants, they are roughly 6ft tall in these pics.

This is about 10 days after the last photos. There was still no rain at all since the last visit but luckily my feeding has kept them alive and they are still growing.

About another 10 days from the last visit and still NO FUCKING RAIN. Everything around is starting to dry out and die the only thing keeping them alive is the water I'm bringing in. But boy does it make a difference which you see next.

This is only 4 hours after the last photos the only difference is I've given them a big drink including water all over the leaves. The difference in how these same plants looked within just hours of getting water still amazes me.

Here we are about 12 days since the last photos and the rain has finally come. The plants are exploding with new growth as they head into flowering. Both plants are now around the 7 foot mark and by my last count each had at least 15 branches capable of major bud production. The hard part is done the drought has broken now we head in to flowering and harvest. Stay tuned for more.
