Thank you for posting. Medical grade Marijuana is an interesting subject, its effects are said to be purely physical and not mental. A post regarding this aspect would be enlightening.
A side note for you, to put some thoughts out there, I left a reply at pilgrimtraveler, however it posted at the bottom of the page, instead of being a reply to your queries.

I have no experience with marijuana that did not have a very profound mental effect. It has proven itself to be, at least for me, the most effective way of dealing with a lifelong battle with depression.
I have learned recently however that there are strains which produce no psychoactive effects but nevertheless dramatically help certain people who suffer from seizures. Even children. I think that's great. It's a wonderful plant. I might even go so far as to call it a gift from God.
It truly is a medicine. But I'm not saying that it shouldn't be enjoyed as a recreational drug as well. As I have noted elsewhere. Smoking some pot seems to help moderate people's drinking. At least when they smoke before getting too drunk. I believe it could help a lot of people suffering from alcoholism. But at the very least it could help some people enjoy their evenings more and be better company for those around them.

But for me the most important effect of pot is the mental one. It helps me not to be too self destructive and drowns out some of the bad voices in my head. I believe that it aids me in my spiritual quest as well. If it has any psychical effects on me, they are probably limited to getting the munchies or getting cotton-mouth on occasion.

I know that many of the devout will not be open to the mental benefits of pot and I can respect that. But my journey as a Christian has been bumpy and long and I have discovered that many of the dogmatic positions of those who would presume to interpret the Word for me simply do not line up that well with the Word that I feel inside.
