Police Marijuana in Afghanistan
I can't recall exactly when this was, either 2008 or 2009, but we were in Kandahar, Afghanistan somewhere not far from the border town of Spin Boldak... anyhow. At one police check point we found the Afghan police to be completely stoned, none of them were wearing their uniform and they were generally in bad order... even less organised than usual.
The outpost had weed everywhere, all drying in the sun ready to be smoked, and smoke it they did... all day long, Can't say I blame them really, underpaid, under-equipped, worried for their safety and dragged into a conflict they likely didn't want. What would anyone do in this situation!
Interesting post, we know that even other police use, consume or even resell siezed drugs all over the world, didn't even know police bothers with weed in afghanista, thought there's only oil, guns and army. Thanks for sharing! #keepsteemin
Legalize it!
Used frequently by the Afghan Police, Especially in the South of the country, Opium and Weed everywhere, the Opium / Heroin of course being the major problem, much opium addiction and sadly the addicts don't get the help they need.
