Mangrove for Future
The importance of education for everyone about the magnitude of the benefits and functions of mangroves, was raised in a meeting of the Mangrove For The Future Regional Committee (MFF) held by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) starting last Sunday 18 November 2012 in Karachi, Pakistan. The importance of education was emphasized by former IUCN vice president Javed Jabbar at the opening of the meeting. "The task of educating and disseminating information to everyone about the importance of mangroves is now very crucial. Many things can be learned from various experiences gained from various member countries of this meeting in an effort to protect mangroves and coastal conservation. Coastal is a region of conflict in the sense of state, community and business interests and that requires good management to find a balance between these various interests. "
