I think you can go deeper with shadows and light.
Here you can put shadows under his hair, on the edges of his face and at the bottom of his ruban.
You can add light on his tears on the edge of his nose and on the top of his ruban. It will make him pop out more !
And the blush can be more reddish too... but that a personal preference 😆
