Alternative Realities - The Mandela Effect

The Mandela Effect is a theory of parallel universes, based in the idea that because large groups of people have similar alternative/false memories about past events. Advocates of the theory claim that for these collective experiences to be true, the fabric of reality must have shifted at some point in the past, and that therefore not only do parallel, inhabitable universes exist, but that we are constantly switching between them.

The Mandela Effect was first described online in 2010, by a blogger named Fiona Broome. Broome described an experience at a convention called Dragon Con, where she discovered that others had a false memory similar to hers, which was that Nelson Mandela had died during his imprisonment in the 1980

Personally for me it started after Neil Armstrong died, when I was confused about the date of his death. Its fascinating that so many people in many cases that live on different continents have the same false memories. 

Here is a good (but very very small) list these have been altered from my memory (and millions of other people)

Berenstain Bears or Berenstein Bears – Still one of the most popular topics. We all have distinct memories of this childhood show being Berenstein Bears. This is not the case, or ever was.

Interview with "A" Vampire or Interview with "THE" Vampire - I had not met anyone who thinks it was ever "THE" There are even videos of the book author calling it "A".  It's always been Interview with "THE" Vampire in this reality. 

(Snow White) Mirror Mirror on the wall or Magic MIrror on the wall - This one breaks me. It was always Mirror Mirror! Now its Magic Mirror and always was!

(Star Wars) Luke I am your farther or No, I am your farther - I'm not a huge Star Wars but we all remember it as "Luke". Nope never was the case.

(Star Wars)  C3PO now has (and has always had) half a silver leg?

Since when was NZ lower than Australia? Australia is the "Land Down Under" and always been lower then NZ

Kit-Kat or Kitkat - Now logos do change over time BUT apparently it was NEVER Kit-Kat

Earth in no longer on the edge on the milky way? Since when?

6 People in the car when JFK was shot? This is not how I remember it in fact one of the biggest conspiracies was the diver did it, now how can he with someone sitting between them..and an extra windshield?

(Queen) "We are he champions" song ending - We are the champions,We are he champions..of the world! Right? NO just We are he champions, We are he champions|

The list goes on and on from locations, movies, people, the Bible, history itself please do your own research.

These may only seem like small changes but how can so many people (who have never met) misremember so many things. What freaks me out most is not so much these changes but what if I wake up one day and there is a huge change that no one believes but me...
